Youth Advocates Football Club is a program of Youth Advocates, Inc., a 21-year-old nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas. This season, YAFC has two youth teams playing in the South Texas Youth Soccer Association: an Under-14 Boys team and an Under-16 Boys team. We have plans for more teams next season. Our highest level team is a Men's Team playing in Division 1 of the Houston Football Association. Youth Advocates, Inc.
YAFC 95 wins Third Place at STYSA President’s Cup State 2011!
On May 21 and 22, our U16 boys played for the State Championship at Lindsay Lyons Park after another winning season. The team won Third Place.
YAFC 95 wins Second Place at the State Fall Championships!
On December 11 and 12, our U16 boys went to State in Corpus Christi after an amazingly successful season. Fighting through injuries and bad weather, the team won Second Place, only missing First by a single point. Congratulations to the guys on a great season.
YAFC 95 gains promotion to Division One!
Our U16 Boys team finished the Fall 2010 season in Super 2 with the record of 7 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties. The team’s overall record including tournaments was 16 wins, 2 losses, and 3 ties. The team finished the season with a 76% winning percentage and only two losses out of 21 games.
Most importantly, they gained promotion to Division One for Fall 2011. This is by far the most successful season of any YAFC team yet!
YAFC 95 are Champions of the Houston Labor Day Cup 2010!
On September 4, 5, and 6, our U16 boys won their second tournament in a row by claiming victory at the massive Houston Labor Day Cup. The team went undefeated in the tournament, winning the four games they played by a combined score of 19-2. 
YAFC 95 are Champions of the Texas Warm Up Cup!
On August 28 & 29, our U16 boys played four very tough games against Division 1 teams in a U17 bracket--a year older than our team-- and we came up with our biggest tournament win so far.
YAFC’s HFA Team Gains Promotion!
After a long and challenging season of 18 games, YA’s team in the Houston Football Association finished as Runner-Up in Division 1B and has gained promotion to Division 1A for the 2010-11 season. We were awarded a trophy at the Houston Dynamo game on June 26, 2010. We are so proud of this tremendous honor.
YAFC 96 Boys Third Place at State!
YAFC 96 became the Eastern District Champions for the South Texas Cup in May 2010 after three tough games.
They played in San Antonio and won Third Place at the STYSA South Texas Cup State Championship. 
YAFC went to see the World Cup Trophy Tour on Sunday, May 2.
We saw the actual FIFA World Cup trophy!
YAFC's own Eric Martinez became a finalist on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Sueno MLS. One of only five Houston soccer players selected, he is headed next month to Los Angeles to compete with ten other players nationwide for a spot on a Major League Soccer developmental roster. Eric is the Captain of Youth Advocates Football Club’s 95 Boys Team, playing this season in the STYSA Director’s Cup.
Look for Eric on Univision national news, on MLSNet.com, and on Contacto Deportivo starting April 18. This is an amazing accomplishment and the YA family is so proud of him!
YAFC 95 are Champions of the Houston Easter Invitational tournament 2010!
They won in the final game against Dallas Texans Houston 1-0. Congratulations to the guys on a great win.
Four members of YAFC 95 have been selected to the State ODP Team for 2010!
The Olympic Development Program is a national program that chooses the state’s very top players for higher level opportunities.
With four ODP players, YAFC 95 has as much representation as any other team in Texas.
Our ODP players are Kristhiam Mercado, Oscar Abrego, Eric Martinez, and Jose Pineda.
They will travel to Alabama in July to train and compete for spots on the US Regional Team.
